Mercedes Johnsen, age 90, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on July 29, 2014 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Stanley and Martha Dorsch Deering and wife of the late Lyman Johnsen. She lived in Pacifica, CA for about 45 years where she worked, for 33 years, in the offices of Burlingame-Pacifica Medical Group for Dr. Green.
Mrs. Johnsen is survived by her daughter, Mercedes Elizabeth Fitzpatrick and husband, Walter R., of Abingdon; granddaughter, Tammy L. Shatting of Oakley, CA; great-granddaughters, Kayla, Taylor and Alexandra Jackson of Oakley, CA; and a niece and nephew.
Visitation will be held at McComas Funeral Home, P.A. in Abingdon, MD on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 from 10-11 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Deacon James R.
